Eng. II Students worked on reading material and taking notes.  Each student should have at least 2 note cards finished.  This is for the term paper due for Am. HIstory and ENGLISH.  This will be due mid Oct.

CPII - Students wrote #4 entry in Journal (Stupid rules).  ALL JOURNALS should have 4 entries and be turned in to Mrs. S on Friday. Student continued to work on narrative in class. Four typed copies of this draft are due in class on FRiday so we can work on editing.

4 copies of typed rough draft will be due on Friday. WE will exchange and do some peer editing work-- concentrating on proofreading. FINAL TYPED COPY due on Tues. Sept. 28 -- after LONG weekend.

Eng. II We went over note cards for the last time before QUIZ on Friday. We also practiced identifying PARTS OF SPEECH with a handout (front and back).

CP II WE practiced identifying POS for Quiz on Fri., and then worked on REWRITE of PRAYER from the HEART.  Turn in the final copy by end of class on Fri.  The final copy should include a zinger word, compound sent., and choice of adverb clause or adjective clause (complex sentence. )

We are grateful for a little breeze today.

I passed out a PARTS OF SPEECH notes HANDOUT.  We reviewed during class.  Keep in folder for reference all year. Use for practice POS work (parts of sp).

Using the notes, we completed a handout with 6 practice sentences. We identified the POS above the word.

Next, we worked on handout p. 26. We completed MOST of it in class. Finish for HW.

WE will correct in red pen tomorrow.

Eng. II We went on a cheap, fast field trip to the writing lab.  There will be an assignment to complete AT the lab next week for HW.  WE also completed Unit II  Vocab. We corrected the pages and finished note cards.  As a review, we played a game on the board........ GIRLS won!!! (3rd period) 6th period- game on Fri.
