Boys Track & Field

2011-2012 Season
The 2012 St. Francis DeSales boy’s track team returns 22 Varsity letter winners and numerous athletes who contributed to a very successful ’11 season. Last years team finished 2nd in the very competitive CCL and were District Runner-ups, sending 17 athletes to the Regional meet. Warren Ball, LaShaun Sanders, Tariq DeGraffinreed, and Breyon Bowman qualified for the State meet in the 4 x 200 relay.

This season, the Track team will again compete at the Division II level. Along with hosting the Stallion Invitational, the team will travel to Chillicothe, Teays Valley, Bloom Carroll and Brooke (WV) Invitationals. The Central Catholic League Championship will be hosted by CSG.

Making the Team
There are no tryouts for track. This year, the outdoor season begins on Monday, March 5th, 2012.

Practice
Practice times are 3:30 to 5:30 daily. Most meets are Tuesday and Saturday with some on Friday evening. The first organizational meeting will be Tuesday, January 3, 2012 for those athletes not involved in a winter sport. A schedule of weight-training and conditioning will be given out at this meeting.
