Boys Basketball

ATTN: Current 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th graders - 2012 Summer League Information

2011-2012 Season
Having fallen just one win short of a sixth consecutive CCL title a year ago, the 2011-12 Stallions return to the court this season in search of restoring their place at the top of the league standings. In the past six years, the DeSales Boys Basketball team has achieved a record of 54 wins to just 4 losses and five straight Championships within Central Catholic League play.

Despite having won 4 District and 3 Regional Championships, including 3 appearances in the State Final Four, during this span, the program has always grounded itself in its primary season goal of winning the league crown. Accomplishing that goal in 2011-12 will be a formidable challenge as the league’s opponents figure to be as strong across the board as they have been in recent memory. The competition over the course of the season is likely to be as fierce as ever.

In addition to the always difficult conference schedule, the team will face an impressive slate of non-league opponents including a holiday tournament in Virginia that is sure to prepare them for post-season play. Taking on the challenge of an intensely difficult schedule has been a driving force in the program attaining state-wide recognition and respect and the aim to that end will be no different this year.
Leading the way on this quest will be returning seniors; Charles Chandler, Marcus Harris, Marq Pannell and Brennan Schlabig. Among the physical execution that needs to take place for a successful campaign, it will be the intangible details needed for success that will be this team’s primary focus. The team will lean heavily on these leaders to ensure that those goals are met.
