Baseball
The 2011 season proved to be a season that will forever be remembered as the Stallions captured the Division II State Championship. Without any Seniors on the team, 13 Juniors, 1 Sophomore and 1 Freshman were able to fight through the State tournament and reach the pinnacle of high school sports.
2012 Season
The 2012 season schedule will once again be one of the most competitive schedules in Central Ohio. The schedule is highlighted by our spring break trips. In the past, the Stallions have traveled to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This year we will travel to Hilton Head, SC to play in the Seahawk baseball tournament. In the past four season the Stallions have a combined 92-29 record with 3 CCL Championships, 3 District Championships, 2 Regional Championships and 1 State Championship.

Levels of Play
The Saint Francis DeSales Baseball program hosts 3 teams.
Each team carries 15-18 players
Making the team
Tryouts are typically held the second week of March.
Practice
Off-season workouts begin in September with open hitting on Monday and Wednesday and weight lifting on Tuesday and Thursday. Pitchers and catchers practice begins at the end of February and full team practice begins at the beginning of March.
Off-Season Baseball Workout Schedule
Mondays and Wednesday: Open hitting from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesdays and Thursdays: Lifting from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Incoming Freshman Activities
Once school begins we will hold a meeting for all prospective baseball players. There are no summer obligations for our incoming students. However, they are encouraged to continue to play baseball and improve their skills to get ready for high school competition. In September, future baseball players will have the opportunity to participate in our off-season weight training and hitting programs. If a student athlete is involved with other sports or activities then he will not be required to attend workouts until he is done with the current season.
Our off season workouts consist of lifting two days a week and open hitting two days a week. St. Francis DeSales has an excellent weight training program led by Mike Delfino. The program is designed for our athletes to compete in multiple sports at the same time preparing them specifically for the sports that they participate in. This is a great opportunity for our athletes to acclimate themselves to our coaching staff as well as our program philosophies.
Baseball Facilities
The St. Francis DeSales baseball team has its own indoor heated hitting facility on campus. Located down the left field line is the gorgeous 360 square foot facility with wall to wall turf flooring. This facility holds two seventy-five foot pitching tunnels with an additional area used for individual hitting drills or to be used as a bullpen area. Our players use the hitting barn all year around to improve their hitting and pitching skills. A lot of our recent success is attributed to our ability to improve all year long on campus. We have posted the three highest team batting averages in the last four years in DeSales baseball storied success. The baseball team also has access to our Varsity Clubhouse which is attached to the dugout. The baseball team also has access to our Varsity Clubhouse which is attached to the dugout. We use this facility as our varsity locker room and gives our players a space to be together before and after games.

Summer Camp
Our Baseball summer camp is in the third week of June and is for students in grades 4-8. This years camp will be June 11th—June 14th from 9:00am until 12:00pm. Players will be taught and evaluated in fielding, hitting, bunting, base running and pitching. The camp is run by Head Coach, Tom Neubert as well as current and former players of DeSales Baseball. Brochures will be out in February.
